Oh,
what memories this brought
back! Early 1974! Sunday afternoons were boring and empty after the
social excitement of Friday night and Saturday, so I decided to invite
some girls around to listen to music on my brand new stereo. They came,
and every Sunday afternoon after that the routine continued. But they
were all tight knit friends who went to the same school , so it was not
likely I'd make out with one of them without making the other girls
angry at her. But it was fun - finally ending when I met Jane at a
party. The superb album SOLAR FIRE by MANFRED MANN EARTH BAND would be
on full blast at least once on those Sunday afternoons. I can't
remember much about what we actually did, but listening to FATHER OF
NIGHT, FATHER OF DAY brought back the memory that those Sunday
afternoons occurred. Brilliant, along with the song! Great music from the Seventies: Next |
