LOADSA STUFF
An extensive range of articles, stories and more. The busking world takes centre stage, but there are many sideshows.
What is the Labyrinth Busker Journal? Who is Buskerbrian?

MUSIC SCENE 2006

Philip Seibel ( German) was only 15 when he entered the Journal in 1996. He had to grow up the hard way and learn to be self sufficient and the journal documents his struggles until July, 2000.... when I could look at Philip and say, " You'll do".
But now he is 27 - and his enormous talent can be glimpsed through his official website.

Early to mid 20th Century snaps of my family. Hornstrandir, Iceland in 1912. WW2 pics of father in Iceland and uncle in Egypt. WW2 planes etc....
A genealogy of my mother's Icelandic family. Gudmundur was lighthouseman at Straumnesviti, and he lived in a farm at Rekavik Bak Latur.

ICELAND ROOTS

Genealogy

Michael Pearce explores our family history - and comes across kings and queens, battles and intrigue, stretching back to 850AD.

It is Berne, Switzerland and it is 1998. As Lone Wolf, Buskerbrian must test the validity of Wild Wolf and her pack.
It is 1994, and a ferry takes two inexperienced 'buskers' from England to Belgium.
For one, it was a holiday. For the other, it was the end of his 'life'. Would new 'life' dawn?
It is Antwerp in January, 1996 - and the 17th sees the first entry of the diary that would emerge as the 700,000 words (approx) Labyrinth Busker Journal.
It is August, 1996 and buskers are on the move. A brief visit to Antwerp pulls up a puzzle - and Brian moves on to Luzern, Bern and Gstaad... meeting busker 'parties', romance and ill health.

PHILOSOPHY

Buskerbrian theories are there to inspire you. He doesn't necessarily look for answers. Rather he takes an oblique angle and searches for questions.

STORY

Aug, 1999: Emotional trauma as a trip to New York leads to first face to face contact with my daughter for four years. The monster guarding the exit path of my inner Labyrinth has to be faced, and its nature identified.

A far from successful Swiss expedition leads to an Antwerp period where philosophy rules - and the format for the immediate future begins to be galvanised.
It is May, 1996 - and ther stagnant weather mirrors the stagnation within me.
